# Campaign replies

Replies to an email campaign come back into Aden, sorted by campaign and by what kind of answer they are, so a "yes, send it over" never dies in somebody's inbox.

## What it is [#what-it-is]

When you send a campaign, some people answer. Those answers used to go to
whatever address was in Reply-To. One person's inbox, invisible to everyone
else on the team, and impossible to tie back to the campaign that caused them.

Now replies come back into Aden. Open a sent campaign and the **Responses**
section lists everyone who wrote back, newest first, with what they said.
Out-of-offices and auto-replies are labelled so they don't look like real
answers, and someone asking to be taken off the list is flagged with an
**Unsubscribe them** button right on the reply. One click and they stop getting
your campaigns, without going hunting for them in Contacts.

This is not a mail client. You can read a reply, tick it off, add the sender to
your contacts, or hand the conversation to your own mail app. Writing long
emails still happens where you already write them.

## Using it [#using-it]

1. Open a **sent** campaign from your Emails page.
2. Under **Responses** you'll see each reply with the sender, when it arrived,
   and the message. **Show full reply** expands it.
3. Act on it:
   * **Reply** opens your mail app with the sender and subject filled in.
   * The **✓** marks it handled, so the campaign list stops counting it.
   * **⋯ → Add to contacts** saves the person to your address book.
   * **⋯ → Unsubscribe from campaigns** takes them off your promotional list
     after a confirm. On a reply that reads like "take me off", the same action
     is offered inline. They keep getting transactional email (invoices,
     confirmations): only campaigns stop, and you can put them back from their
     contact page.
   * **⋯ → Ignore** files away noise you don't want to see again.
4. The campaign list shows a small reply badge on every campaign still waiting
   on someone, so you don't have to open each one to find out.

Auto-replies and out-of-office messages are never counted as waiting. They
need no answer.
