Aden Meters
Live meters on whatever is playing, and a Studio that records your screen and camera with the meters on top.
Meters for whatever is playing: your DAW, a reference on Spotify, a beat on YouTube. Nothing to route and no plugin to load. Pick which meters show in the … menu: waveform, spectrum, spectrogram, oscilloscope, stereo and loudness (LUFS).
Two views
- Strip: every meter at once in one bar. Press … to pick the meters, and the X to close it.
- Studio: record your screen, your camera and the meters together.
Record your screen
- Switch to Studio. For a whole look in one click, pick one under Presets (see Studio presets and themes). Press Share your screen. Pick a screen, a window or a tab, with its audio. In the desktop app, the meters never show up in their own recording.
- Under Sources, add your camera and microphone, or Add a window (up to three) to show more apps, a call or a second screen.
- Under Layout, pick Bubble, Split (half you, half your screen) or Camera first, then drag anything on the preview. The corner handle resizes.
- Under Look, pick Clean or an 80s, 90s or 2000s computer. Under Color, set brightness, contrast and more for everything or one layer.
- Under Stickers, click a sticker, or Add photo or video, then drag it anywhere. Select one and press Delete to remove it.
- Click the size and frame rate beside Record to change them. To edit in another app, turn on Save layers separately under Output.
- Press Record, then Stop. The preview is the video. Aden makes the file smaller before it saves; Skip keeps it as recorded.
Save a recording to Aden
Every recording saves to your downloads first. To keep it in Aden:
- Press Save to Aden under the Studio (in the desktop app, in the saved message after a take, or on a recording in your recordings).
- Pick the team if you are on more than one.
- Choose where it goes: a Track's media, your team's Media, or a Post draft (give it a title and, if you like, link a track).
- Press Save. Aden opens what you saved.
No account yet? The recording waits in your browser while you sign up, then you pick where it goes.
Find your recordings
In the desktop app, press Studio on the side rail, or search for "Recordings".
- Type in Search recordings to find one by name, and click it to watch.
- Point at a recording for Save to Aden, Show in folder and Delete. Deleted the wrong one? Press Undo.
- New recording opens the Studio.
Where
- Desktop app: open Meters from search, the Window menu or the tray. It hears everything the computer plays and floats above your DAW. Recordings go to an Aden Meters folder in your downloads.
- tools.aden.space/meters: free, no account. The Strip listens to a tab or screen (Chrome and Edge) or the microphone; the Studio shares a tab or screen. Keep the tab visible while you record.
